A Flash of Red

There are not many words to describe the beast that once was a child. A demon that lost his mother so young before he too lost his only chance at the hands of the very one he should have been able to trust. Never to grow old, or be able to understand complex matters of adult life, and forever trapped in the mental age of a small child. All his instincts and urges come from that of a child. His emotions that fuel his dark magic are as strong and as pure as they had ever been

For when he hungers, it is a pure emotion. It consumes him until he is willing to react and do without thinking of consequence. Like most children, this beast- this creature is purely selfish. He cares for his family, but only because of lingering feelings of family form before his transformation. Those feelings of family keep him humane, or at least as little bit as he has. He is loyal only to his father, but he has memories of his mother. Often he has tried to look for her and asked about her. He misses her, but his intentions with anyone besides his father are unclear and often frightening.

For this reason he rarely leaves his home. He often prefers his seclusion in his room, but once in a while he does he does get curious. He wants to know what drives adults to be what they are. Having never developed emotions enough to understand more complicated ones driven by motive, he sometimes does explore getting into little adventures to try to understand others. Typically this will frustrate him and drive him into a rage if he does not get the results or understanding he wants. A deep part of him wants companionship, but like his age changing, that seems just out of grasp. It makes him lonely, but even more bitter. He is his father’s perfect heir, and for this reason, he has accepted his loneliness to a degree. He knows this need he wants, in the end he cannot have, but a small part of him longs for it so. A part of him that has been missing since his first death.

Faces That Stick

His gryphon form is impressive in size. It is known to be taller than a man with a wingspan that is twice that size. However his exact measurements were never known since it changes slightly depending on his rage, how much he's eaten recently, and if he's using his magic. His gryphon form has no flesh, but it is called a gryphon because the shape it appears be. It is almost like an elemental in how it looks and moves, but instead of being a type of elemental magic, the body is made up of his spirit magic alone. The colors are red, white, and black. They move forever changing shape, only leaving a few recognizable markings here and there to identify him by in this form. It is another reason why he is dangerous. Being made of this not only makes it impossible to touch him with a regular weapon or with a hand, but it makes it harder to identify him since his markings do not stay constant. An unsuspecting soul may mistake him for an elemental. His eyes are always a glowing red with no pupil. If ill fed or tired will appear somewhat translucent on a bright day.

The heir has two human forms. They’re the same form, but at different times in his life. His natural one, and the one that cost him no energy is the form of a five year old boy. This form was the one he died in and the one he is most natural in. His other form is that of a full grown man and the man he would have been had he not been used in a ritual for power. He is seven foot tall in this form and muscular like his far with broad shoulders and a v-cut body that narrows at the hips. In both forms he has dark skin, with red glowing eyes with no pupil, high cheekbones, and dark black hair that has a blue tinge like a raven’s feather. His hair is wispy, ghost like just as his gryphon form. His human form can actually pick up things, touch things, and be touched by things as long as he concentrates. It takes his energy to allow for this to happen, but unlike his gryphon form, it is not always just pure energy and can actually have flesh like qualities at times. He almost can become what he once was.

Morion also wears a very special necklace. There are two of them in existance. The necklace is black beads with four scythes on four different locations equal distances apart. This is the one thing that can truly control him no matter what or how he tries to break free. The owner of his chains of imprisonment is his own father.

An Heir's Strength

Morion’s abilities are actually similar to an normal demon if ignoring his reaper side. He has control over hellfire, and the ability to control metal from his father and fire from his mother. However, his abilities over darkness and spirit magic come from neither parent, but from what he has become. In a parent’s plight for power, the child became a true reaper, the first true success at that. For the father’s risk, he gained the power over darkness and spiritual magic that goes so deep that it is unfathomable.

It came at a price- his life, his body, and his aging. This new ability given to the heir allows him to see souls, feel them, judge them, taste them, and eat them. He can only smell souls and blood now and they have become the one source of food for him. Normal food does nothing for him anymore and his new food source also feeds his power. The more he eats, the stronger he becomes. He is an embodiment of darkness and spirit magic that needs the life of another to live comfortably in this world. Without it, it becomes painful to a unbearable degree that drives him mad. During those fits, great atrocities have been known to happen.

He cannot die again, not even with magic. He just disperses for a while, but eventually will reform back in his room. During this time, his body collects energy from the air itself to reform. Being cursed isn’t always so bad, but it sure has a lot of downs. He never understands why people are trying to kill him as to him, everything he is doing is just natural. He is hungry, and they are his food.

The body of his gryphon form is a weapon. It is painful to touch, and soul shattering should it pass through you. Being made of spirit magic completely, it hurts the soul for it to touch and in this form, is where he steals souls. The human form is better known for going for blood for a drink. However, as a demon he often has a steady supply of blood, but not of souls.

His spirit magic is oddly really explosive if he mixes it with his fire magic. It has been said by his father, that it is mimicking his son’s personality. Explosive, and uncontrollable. The fire alone, typically looks dark and absorbing light instead of emitting similar to hellfire, but looks more red like blood with tinges of white.

As for his magically ability, it is prodigy level. He was born with high promise in that field, and becoming a reaper has excelled him past expectation. However, he is not physically strong as most of the time he is unable to touch things and when he is, he's often a child. His adult human form is rarely seen, and he finds it mostly awkward to be in. His endurance magically is large, strength wise not so much. He would avoid a battle of strength if possbile simply due to that being something he really has a form for. Combat wise, he's really good at it, mostly due to not many people having an answer for his power base, especially if he catches them off guard.
